Lake Tahoe Storm

Well woke up this morning at 4.30am and it was snowing, never really seen snow before and never had to clean it of the car before I could get in. Very cold very still and very quiet. I went for a drive up to Emerald Bay / Eagle Falls and then Fallen Leak Lake. This shot below was taken on Lake Tahoe around midday.

Single image shot with the 24-70 lens and .09 ND Grad on the sky no post production or stitching, all to come šŸ™‚

  1. Congrats on your first snow (I hate that stuff so let me know if you wanna swap places!). Good shot, perhaps a ‘thirds’ composiiton would make it even stronger.

  2. Dylan Fox says:

Mate for a raw image this is bloody great!

  3. Yeah I am quite happy with this series of images after stitching they should come up very nice. This is of course just a 1 image shot in a series.

  4. that is a kick ass raw pic mate, it is going to be stunning image when finished.

  5. Hoping so, managed to capture some nice light this afternoon as well down around Sand Harbor. Tomorrow morning its up to Emerald Bay and Fallen Leaf Lake from the opposite side, have shot the marina twice already now need to go back to Bear Scat Trail and shoot from that side as the view is amazing.

    Next up Yosemite. Then Maui.

  6. Leon says:

I like this one Neal. Very dramatic lighting.
