Lake Tahoe Meadows

On our first evening at Lake Tahoe we privileged to a stunning sunset across the eastern horizon of the area. On our way back from Sand Harbor (yet again) we stopped at these meadows to take some shots. This being the first of a series of images I took from the area.

  1. It’s a lovely scene but I find the composition could be better. I’m not too crazy about the posts on either side and since there’s very little foreground perhaps with the camera very close to the ground it would work a bit better?

  7. Thanks guys for comments and tips al taken on board, now I just need to get back to retake the image. I tried to tone down the sky a little and rev up the grass a little to get a little better blend. I went back last night and redid a few things I think it looks a little nicer now, thanks.

  8. stunning location Neal. i was feeling that the sky seems a lil overdone though, for me it doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the feel of the photo.
    but that’s just me 🙂
