Heres a small selection of images taken last saturday night with Christian, Kirk and Jamie. Just some fun images trying something new. Kirk was the time keeper, Jamie handled lights, Christian kept his finger on the trigger (too cheap to buy a $5 battery for his remote) and I just well, made sure we all had cold beers.
Fun night, not so sure about the lime flavored bag of chips, but I was hungry and could of eaten the crutch out of a low flying gull that night.
More images to come from the trip down south, first up some fun shots testing the Canon 5D and its low light capabilities. Most of those exposures where shot at 5.6 or 4.0 with shutter times in the range of 170 seconds through to one that was 498 seconds.
Enjoy the pics.
I`d have to say that the shot second from the left is my preferred of the bunch. Good to see some night shots for a change. I have been inspired by your friend Brent Pearson’s night shots. They are incredible.
Thanks Luke, Brent is pretty damn good at the night stuff.
Yep I,d have to agree with Luke as to which one out of the four is my fav. no 2.
They all look great as a set though.
very nice mate, bringing back memories already, like Jamie in a short sleeved shirt when we were all freezing with jackets on. Must be used to the cold after years in a submarine. Sorry about the chips!!
Wicked Neal. It was great fun wasn’t? Mine is up now as well. Imagine having a nice sand dune or the pinnacles in the foreground?
Great set mate! I like the middle two!
Nice set of shots mate ,
Was fun trying something different .
I have to say i like the first image , only wished my battery hadnt have run out before then
Second shot from the left is super cool! I would try a very cold white balance on only the sky and try and turn those clouds blueish.
great shots mate.. always wanted to do some night shots…. i think i might have to try them out now
great work Neal
think the second image came up pretty nice.
always good trying different things
cool montage Neal – I like the 2nd image the best. Sounds like a good night !
