Received an email from Dean Bradshaw ( he does some amazing portrait work be sure to check his stuff out, very very cool ) recently and next thing I know we are tracking the sand dunes of lancelin with Dean and Luke Austin ( he seems to pop up everywhere )
While no where near as windy as the previous time I was up there thus the lines in the sand where not as pronounced as then, Seeing that I thought I would should a more overall view of the dunes while waiting for the sunset. One thing I have learnt from the dunes. Find a good location and stay there, its a bitch trekking all over those dunes!
I rattled off 4 gigs of images for the evening and this being a quickie edit and stitch for the blog. More to come soon, just have to finish off a mates wedding snaps first ( why I do this I have no idea )
Can you spot Deano?
Shot with a Canon 5D Mrk II at 70mm
Thanks for a cool evening Dean and Luke ….
Wow Neil, that is one of the most amazing photos of Lancelin I’ve seen!!! Has an awesome sense of scale. Thanks for coming along – I had a grand time and it was great to meet you and Kirk.
Good lesson about staying in one spot, I’ll have to try that next time…
Thanks Dean
Great shot Neal…I’m with ya on the weddings!!!!!
Thanks Mervman
You wait Neal until I can show you the ‘secret sand dunes’. Maybe if I can sell some shares we can take a look at them whilst on our trip.
One day I’d like to photograph the dunes in Death Valley, have no idea where your secret dunes are, seems like a long ass way out though.
Neal that is a very cool shot of Lancelin, you’ve made it look like another planet – very alien and otherworldly!
Thanks Flem look forward to seeing your dunes shots in Africa … Are you heading to the skeleton coast ?
great shot Neal , love the scale of it really shows how vast these dunes are
Thanks Kirk … It is a 11 image stitch but only around 6 made the 3:1 format.

Nice shot Neal, came up a treat. It was a fun arvo roaming the dunes, would have liked to have got up there one more time. Oh well.
