Beaches Of Esperance

The beaches of Esperance in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia, would have to have some of the clearest bluest water and whitest clean beach sand I have ever seen, and the waters not too cold either which I found surprising.

While I did not get 5 days of great light or lots of nice fluffy white clouds on this trip, the hiking and scouting I did each morning and evening and sometimes pretty much all the day as in the day I took this photograph provided me with lots on insight into the area for future photographic opportunities. The 4km or 5km stretch I walked from Dempters Point heading west was amazing with every corner or dip or high vantage point providing yet another stunning vista. I think I filled a whole 4 gig card just on this walk before even stepping foot on the actual beach.

Here is one for the masses, plenty of blue sky, white sand and those crystal clear blue waters. A 8 stop vari grad was used on this image to slow things down.

Nice touch with the exposure the water blur .

  2. Martin says:

Great blues in the sky and water. The lonely clouds in the sky balance nicely against the white surf.

AHHHH very nice…. thats my kinda shot nice and bright and colourful. I’d like to see it without the wave blur maybe.

Whenever I’ve been down that way the water is bloody freezing ,but I’m probably a bit of a wuss.

Is the vari filter a screw on ?
